Balloon Over Bagan Visitors to Bagan now have the unique opportunity to enjoy spectacular views of the ancient Kingdom of Bagan in a hot air balloon! The world-famous archaeological site of Bagan is known for its marvelous sunsets and sunrises, mostly enjoyed from the top of one of the monuments. A balloon flight gives you the chance to see Bagan with a bird’s-eye view. “Balloons over Bagan” is operated by qualified pilots and technicians, all registered in the United Kingdom. Cameron Balloons Ltd., the world’s largest manufacturer of high quality balloons, produces the balloon. “Balloons over Bagan” operates sunrise and sunset last just under one hour and take off daily from October through 10th April. Due to weather conditions, the morning flights are operated most frequent.

Sample Itinerary:

Every day is different when it comes to ballooning. The winds change daily and the weather is affected by the seasons. The sun rises later in December than in October or March. The following itinerary is an example of what you may experience with Oriental Ballooning, but times and locations will be confirmed the night before your flight. Please don’t make any time-critical decisions based on this itinerary, for example, trying to catch an early aeroplane or boat after your flight. 05:30 – 06:00: We’ll collect you from your hotel in a comfortable car or minibus 06:00 – 06:15: You’ll meet your pilot, and enjoy pre-flight tea, coffee and pastries. You’ll be given a safety briefing. 06:15 – 06:30: Watch as the balloons are prepared by the trained crew and inflated by the experienced British pilots 06:30 – 06:45: All aboard! Climb into the basket and prepare for take off! 06:45 – 07:30: Enjoy the amazing experience of floating over this amazing historical area with its temples, stupas and other beautiful sights. 07:30 – 08:00: Celebrate your safe return to earth with a drink of chilled sparkling wine, served with fruit. Receive your personal flight certificate, signed by your pilot 08:00 – 08:30: Return to your hotel in time for breakfast

Golden Eagle Ballooning

intends to fill the needs of demand for hot air balloon operation in Bagan with highest safety standards and services. GEB's balloons are manufactured by Ultramagic from Spain - one of the best and well-known balloon manufacturers in the world and approved by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The insurance is comprehensively covered by Lloyd from United Kingdom for both third parties and the passengers. The company has three Swiss pilots and one Chief pilot from Barcelona, one Spanish examiner and inspector, one Swiss maintenance manager, two local operation managers, and 35 local ground crews for the operations. Golden Eagle Ballooning operates three balloons with a total capacity of 24 passengers with one Sunrise flight every morning of 35 minutes to one hour duration, depending on the wind speed and weather condition on that day.
